Academic Policy

Academic policies and procedures allow students to clearly understand their rights and responsibilities.

Attendance

• The students will have to put 80% attendance in theory and 100% in clinical.
• Medical certificate should be produced if leave taken.
• Failing to fulfil the attendance, strict action will be taken.
• (Penalty 100 Rs./ Day will be taken)

Dress code, Appearance and Hygiene

• Dress code& colour is prescribed by college with all the necessary accessories like ID card, proper shoes, socks, apron etc.
• School uniform is compulsory during classes and duty hours. Nails should be cut and no nail polish should be applied.
• Nails should be cut and no nail polish should be applied.
• Hairs should be well groomed. Males should have short hair and no beard or trimmed.
• No use of any jewellery during college and duty hours.

Academic, Rules and Regulations

• The tuition fees sanctioned by management should be submitted timely.
• The students will have to put 80% attendance in theory and 100% in clinical.
• Minimum pass marks shall be 50 % in each theory and practical exam.
• There is value of various types of assignments, practical exams and final exam toward final score.
• Any type of disturbing activities is not allowed in the campus.
• Ragging of students in any form within and outside campus is not allowed.
• School uniform is compulsory during classes and duty hours.
• Mobile is not allowed in the campus.
• Leave will be sanctioned according to INC rules.
• Marriage is not allowed during training courses.
• Pregnancy is not allowed during training courses.
• All information should be carried out through proper channel.
• Parents are not allowed to interfere in college norms.
• Relative/friends/any guest are not allowed to stay in hostel.
• All hostellers will be required to take meal from hostel mess only, sick resident may be allowed by the hostel authority to have different meal.
• Use of alcohol or any other intoxicants is strictly prohibited in hostel premises.
• Damage to property of school/hostel will be taken seriously and strict action will be taken.
• College campus should be kept neat and tidy.
• Save electricity.
• Save water.
• The students are required to abide all the above rules.
• If found guilty in not following the rules strict action will be taken.

Library

• Read and talk quietly.
• Return books to their proper places
• Take good care of books.
• Marking on the books, tearing pages etc. are most objectionable may lead to initiation of disciplinary action on the member.
• No personal belongings and text books allowed inside the library.
• Using mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library premises.
• Returns of books are mandatory before the due date mentioned in the due date slip attached to the book. A fine of Rs.5/- per day will be penalised for overdue books.
• Reference books, journals and magazines are only for consultation within the library and are not to be taken out of library premise.
• The librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the member shall return the same immediately.

Fees

• The tuition fees sanctioned by management should be submitted timely.

Anti -ragging

• Ragging of students in any form within and outside campus is not allowed.
• Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the culprit.

Clinical rules

• Students must show the nursing ethics during clinical posting.
• Accept the responsibility of providing care to any individual.
• Follow the rules and regulation of the clinical area.
• Students must show professional interest to the patient.
• Complete all the work related to academics.
• Use standard precaution method during clinical posting.

Grievances Regarding Results

• Any student who wants to file grievances regarding existing result can contact the concerned person.
• There is provision of re-totalling through UP State Medical Faculty, Lucknow.
